It was after I abandoned my faith that

I met the love of my life

It was after I disposed of heaven

That I found the meaning of rest

It was after my deity died

That I learned my own divinity

After all this I undertook the learning

Of happiness

And the meaning of it is

Your hand in mine

Your head in the bed

Your legs entwined with mine

Your heart heartily beating beneath my head

Your name, my name, melding

Like a melting of two metals

Like the unfurling of flower petals

Like true love choosing forever

Forever, happily ever
